Rajeev Dassani is a writer and director, and is known for primarily grounded elevated genre and dramatic stories. He’s also served as a VFX producer on films and series including “Scandal” and “Revolution", and an international unit director and producer on series including “Star Trek Discovery” and “Agents of Shield”. 

His USC Thesis film, “A Day’s Work” won the Student Academy Award, and he then directed several independent features starring noted actors including Jonathan Banks and Bailee Madison. His breakout came when his sci-fi film “Seam” became a viral hit on Gunpowder and Sky’s Dust platform, which led to his series “Jinn” being bought by Netflix. “Jinn” was their first Arabic original, on which Rajeev served as creator and showrunner, as well as writing all the episodes, and shot entirely in Jordan. 

He then directed his first studio feature film, the supernatural thriller “Evil Eye”, for Amazon and Blumhouse and executive produced by Priyanka Chopra-Jonas, starring Sarita Chadhoury and Sunita Mani. He has series and feature projects in development with Perfect Storm, Blumhouse, Huffington Post, Buzzfeed, Lionsgate, among others.
